How to Find Retreats on Insight Timer
You can discover available retreats in two ways:
Via the app: Navigate to the Teachers tab at the bottom of the screen (beside the Timer icon), then go to the Retreats tab to see all upcoming options.
Via the website: Visit our Retreats page to browse all available retreats and explore details about each one.
Learning More About a Specific Retreat
Once you've found a retreat that interests you, you can dive deeper into the details. For comprehensive information about any retreat, including accommodations, schedule, or specific practices offered, reach out to us at retreats@insighttimer.com. We're here to help you find the right retreat for your needs.
How to Secure Your Spot
Ready to book? Here's how the process works. The first step is to make a booking through the Insight Timer website. Once you've submitted your booking, the teacher will reach out to you directly to confirm next steps, discuss any details specific to your retreat, and address any questions you might have.
Understanding the 10% Deposit
When you book a retreat, Insight Timer collects a 10% deposit. This fee covers the operational costs of running our retreats platform and supporting teachers. Please note that this deposit is non-refundable.
What Happens After You Pay Your Deposit
After your deposit is processed, you'll receive a confirmation email from us. The teacher leading your retreat will then contact you directly to confirm any additional details and to organize payment of the remaining balance. This gives you and the teacher a chance to connect before the retreat begins.
How to Cancel and Request a Refund
If you need to cancel your retreat booking, you'll want to contact your teacher directly. Refund eligibility—beyond the non-refundable Insight Timer deposit—is based on the teacher's individual cancellation policy. Each retreat may have different terms, so reaching out to your teacher is the best way to understand your options. The Insight Timer platform deposit of 10% remains non-refundable in all cases.
