Understanding Our Content Guidelines Regarding Sexuality on Insight Timer

At Insight Timer, we are deeply committed to nurturing holistic well-being and acknowledge that sexuality forms an essential part of this spectrum. However, as a platform accessed worldwide by a diverse audience, we remain cautious and aware of the varying cultural nuances and interpretations surrounding the topic of sexuality.

To ensure a secure and all-inclusive environment, we have guidelines in place for content that is sexual in nature or contains sexual references, undertones, or suggestions.

While we recognize that these discussions can provide meaningful dialogue and growth on a personal level, our present goal is to ensure that they won't inadvertently cause offence or confusion among members of our community.

Thus, we currently accept such content on a case-by-case basis. Our review process for such content aims to find a balance between supporting a wide array of comprehensive wellness topics and protecting the comfort and safety of all listeners.

Acceptance Criteria

The acceptance criteria for such content primarily focus on:

Context: Using considerate and appropriate language is vital so that the content remains suitable for a wide array of audiences.

Therapeutic relevance: Any practices suggested should be based on recognized therapeutic practices or principles within the field. Teachers are requested to provide relevant accreditations.

Examples of topics we will consider for publishing include:

  1. Sex Education - Providing accurate, non-exploitative information about sexual health and safe practices.

  2. Sacred Sexuality - Discussing ways in which sexuality can be embraced as a spiritual practice.

  3. Sexual Wellbeing - Conversations around healthy sexual relationships, sexual self-confidence, consent, communication with partners, etc.

  4. Impact of Stress and Anxiety on Sex Life - Exploring the connections between mental health and sexuality.

  5. Healing after Sexual Trauma - Guided meditations and resources for individuals coping with the aftermath of sexual trauma.

We are dedicated to creating a space that promotes comprehensive holistic growth but also upholds respect, safety, and comfort. We reserve the right to deny publishing content that might seem unsafe or inappropriate for our general audience.

We appreciate your understanding, contribution, and compliance with these guidelines, helping us maintain a platform that is mindful, diverse, supportive, and safe for all users.
