Why Can’t I See the “Add Friend” Button on a User’s Profile?

If you don't see an "Add Friend" button on someone's profile, it's because they've disabled friend requests in their privacy settings. Some community members prefer not to receive friend requests, and we respect that choice.


Check or Change Your Friend Request Settings

If you want to manage how others can connect with you, you can adjust your own Friend Request settings anytime:


  1. Open the Insight Timer app.
  2. Tap the menu icon (☰) in the top-left corner.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Select Account & Privacy.
  5. Tap Friend Requests.
  6. Toggle the feature on or off.


When Friend Requests are enabled, other community members can send you friend requests and connect with you on the platform.
