To maintain a high-quality and diverse content library for our community, we don't allow the same content to be published across Free Tracks, Premium Tracks, and Course Lessons. Publishing identical or very similar content in different formats counts as duplicate content and violates our publishing guidelines.
What Constitutes Duplicate Content?
Republishing Tracks
A track published as a free track cannot be republished as a premium track, and vice versa. This rule applies even when there are minor changes, such as:
- Alterations to the title or description
- Modifications to the audio quality
- Adding background music or sound effects
- Changing the track length
The same track also cannot be published as both Free and Premium simultaneously.
Multiple Accounts
The same track cannot be republished under different publisher accounts. All your content must remain unique to the account under which you originally uploaded it. This protects content integrity across the platform.
Course Content
Lessons from a course cannot be published individually as Free or Premium tracks once the course is active. Lessons must remain part of the collective course.
Best Practices for Teachers
Here's how to keep your content library original and aligned with our standards:
- Create new material: Focus on producing original content that reflects your unique voice and teaching style.
- Check before you upload: Before repurposing or re-uploading, make sure your new content doesn't overlap with tracks you've already published.
- Ask for clarity if needed: If you're unsure whether your content crosses the line into duplication, reach out to us at publishers@insighttimer.com. We're here to help.
Why This Matters
By following these guidelines, you help maintain the quality and originality of our content library. That means our 30 million community members have access to unique, thoughtfully crafted experiences. Your teaching matters, and originality ensures it stands out.
