Notifications keep you connected to your community members and updated on what's happening with your content. We offer different types of notifications so you can stay informed without being overwhelmed.
Types of Notifications Teachers Receive
You can get notifications in two ways:
Dashboard Notifications
These appear on your Teacher Dashboard and alert you about publishing status updates for your tracks, courses, and live events. Dashboard notifications are enabled by default.
Email Notifications
We send emails to keep you updated on:
- New features and platform updates
- Course classroom comments from community members
- New donations you've received
- Reviews and ratings on your tracks
Customize Your Email Notification Settings
You can control which emails you receive. Here's how:
- Log into your Teacher Dashboard.
- Go to Account Settings > Notifications.
- Select which email notifications you want to receive.
- Click Save to update your preferences.

Where Notifications Appear in Your Dashboard
New activity on your dashboard is marked with a red dot on these tabs:
- Courses: Red dot means you have new comments in your courses' classrooms.
- Ratings & Reviews: Red dot means you have new reviews on your tracks.
- Donations: Red dot means you've received a new donation from a community member.

Respond to Comments and Donations
When you see a red dot, that's your cue to check what's new. You can reply directly to community members who leave questions in your course classrooms, comment on reviews, or send donations.
Make Sure You Don't Miss Important Updates
Here's what we recommend:
- Check your Teacher Dashboard regularly for new notifications on the Dashboard tab.
- Watch for red dots as indicators of new activity.
- Monitor your email inbox (and spam folder) for updates from our team. Messages are usually sent from publishers@insighttimer.com
