How Do I Set Up Repeating Interval Bells?

Repeating interval bells help you stay grounded during your practice. You can customize how often they sound — anywhere from 5 seconds to 30 minutes apart — and set exactly how many times you'd like them to ring. This feature is useful for meditation, mindfulness practices, or any time you want gentle prompts throughout your session.


Here's how to set up repeating interval bells in the app:

  1. Open the Insight Timer app and navigate to the Timer tab, which is located in the middle icon at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Select Interval bells from the available timer options.
  3. Tap Add bell to create a new bell.
  4. Choose Repeat from the configuration options that appear.
  5. Set your desired interval frequency — you can choose anywhere from 5 seconds to 30 minutes apart depending on your preference.
  6. Select exactly how many times you'd like the bell to repeat during your session.


Once you've configured your settings, your bells are ready to support your meditation or mindfulness practice whenever you use the timer.
