There are two roles for people who manage Groups: Admins and Moderators.
The table below outlines the roles and what they're able to do for the Groups they are the Admin or Moderator for, managing members:

I am the Admin of a Group. How do I appoint a Moderator?
Open the Insight Timer app.
Tap the menu icon (☰).
Tap Groups and open your Group.
Tap Settings (gear icon) in the top-right corner.
Scroll to the Group members list.
Select the member’s profile.
Tap Make Moderator.
I am the Admin of a Group. Can I remove a Moderator? Yes.
Open your Group.
Tap Settings (gear icon).
Go to the Group members list.
Select the Moderator’s profile.
Tap Remove Moderator.
I am a Moderator of a Group. Can I delete the Group?
No. Only Group Admins can delete a Group.
I am a Moderator. Can I approve or reject join requests?
Yes. Moderators can approve or deny join requests for the Group.
I am a Moderator. Can I make members Admins?
No. Only Admins can promote members to Admin.
I am a Moderator. Can I remove members from the Group? Yes.
Open the Group.
Go to the member list or tap the user’s profile from the Group.
Tap Remove from Group.
Is there a limit to the number of Moderators in a Group?
No. There is no limit to how many Moderators a Group can have.
I am a Moderator. Can I remove an Admin?
No. Only another Admin can remove an Admin.
I am a Moderator. Can I leave the Group?
Yes. You can leave the Group at any time.
I am a Moderator. Can I remove posts?
Yes. Moderators can remove posts and comments within the Group.
What should Admins and Moderators monitor?
Insight Timer is a space for reflection and respect. Admins and Moderators should monitor activity to ensure members follow the Community Guidelines and any additional Group rules.
What should I do if someone is not following the guidelines?
You can:
Tap the three dots (⋯) on a post or profile and select Report this person.
Remove the member by selecting their profile and tapping Remove from Group.
Admins and Moderators help maintain a safe and supportive environment for everyone.
