How to Prevent My Screen from Automatically Dimming?

You can keep your screen active and prevent it from dimming during a meditation or sleep session by adjusting your device's display settings. Here's how to do it on both iPhone and Android devices.


For iPhone or iPad (iOS 17+)

Follow these steps to prevent your iOS device from automatically locking:


  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Display & Brightness.
  3. Tap Auto-Lock.
  4. Select Never to prevent your screen from turning off automatically.


Once you set Auto-Lock to Never, your screen will stay on as long as your device is plugged in. This is perfect for guided meditations or sleep sessions where you want to see the app without the screen locking.


For Android devices (Android 13+)

Android devices use Screen timeout to control how long the display stays active. Here's how to adjust it:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Display.
  3. Tap Screen timeout (this may appear as Sleep on some devices).
  4. Choose the longest available duration, often up to 30 minutes.


On some Android devices, you may also see options like Stay awake in Developer Options, depending on your device manufacturer.


Important note about battery usage


Note: Keeping your screen on for extended periods will use more battery power. You may wish to adjust these settings only when you're actively meditating or about to listen to sleep content. Once your session is complete, consider returning your device to its default settings to preserve battery life for the rest of your day.
