MemberPlus subscription and refund policy
Insight Timer gives community members access to a free library of over 300,000 guided practices, plus the option to upgrade to MemberPlus for unlimited ad-free listening, offline downloads, and exclusive courses. Subscriptions and donations are subject to a clear refund policy designed to be fair to both members and teachers on the platform.
General refund policy for all MemberPlus subscriptions
All charges for MemberPlus subscriptions and donations are non-refundable. There are no refunds or credits for partially used subscription periods. The payment processor—either Google Play or Apple—has final discretion over whether to approve any refund request.
How cancellation works
If you want to stop paying for MemberPlus, you can cancel your subscription at any time. Here's what happens when you cancel:
- Your subscription will not renew after your current billing period ends
- You'll continue to have access to MemberPlus features for the remaining days you've already paid for
- When your paid period expires, you'll return to the free experience with access to the full 300,000+ practice library
- You can opt back in to MemberPlus whenever you're ready to return to the premium experience
Important cancellation details
Canceling your subscription will not retroactively refund any subscription payments you've already made. Previously charged subscription fees cannot be prorated based on when you cancel. Additionally, deleting the app or your account does NOT automatically cancel your subscription—you must cancel it separately through your payment method. Requesting a refund after cancellation
If you've canceled your subscription and still want to request a refund, the process depends on where you made your purchase.
Refunds for iOS purchases through Apple
Apple processes refunds for subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store. To request a refund, contact Apple directly with your purchase details and order information.
Refunds for Google Play purchases
Any refund requests for MemberPlus subscriptions purchased through Google Play must be submitted within 48 hours of the original charge. You can request a refund in two ways:
- Email our support team at help@insighttimer.com with your order details and reason for the refund request
- Request a refund directly through Google Play
Refunds for website subscriptions and donations
If you purchased MemberPlus or made a donation directly through the Insight Timer website, refund requests must be submitted within 48 hours of payment. Email our support team at help@insighttimer.com to request a refund, and include your transaction ID and reason for the request.
