How Long Is The Approval Process?

When you submit new tracks, courses, or live events to Insight Timer, our review team evaluates them to ensure they meet our community guidelines and technical standards. Here's the timeline for different content types:

Content approval timelines

  • Tracks and courses: Up to 5 business days for review and publishing.
  • Live events: Up to 24 hours for review and approval.

You'll receive a notification in your teacher dashboard as soon as your content or event has been approved and is live on the platform. Notifications come directly to your dashboard, so check it regularly.

How to avoid delays in approval

Most rejections and approval delays happen because content doesn't fully meet our standards. To speed up your approval, make sure everything you submit carefully follows our guidelines:

  • Read and follow our guidelines for teachers — these are the foundational rules for all content.
  • Review our image requirements and technical specifications carefully. Image files are a common reason for rejection.
  • Test your audio quality before submitting tracks.
  • Write clear, descriptive titles and descriptions that accurately represent your content.

We reserve the right to reject or remove tracks, courses, and live events that don't meet these standards. If your content is rejected, our feedback will explain what needs to be changed so you can resubmit.

Time-sensitive content like holidays and seasonal events

If your track or course has a specific publication date or is tied to a particular season or holiday — for example, holiday meditation content for Christmas, New Year's content, winter solstice practices, or other time-sensitive teachings — upload it at least 2 weeks in advance. This gives our review team ample time to review your content thoroughly, request edits if needed, and still have it published by your target date. Submitting last-minute time-sensitive content risks missing your intended release window.

Schedule your tracks to release on a future date

You don't have to wait for approval to go live — you can schedule your tracks to automatically publish on a future date. During the Review stage of the upload template, you have the option to set a specific release date and time. Your content will be reviewed and approved, but won't become public until the date you selected. Learn more about scheduling track releases here — this is a powerful feature for planning your content calendar in advance.
