What is the difference between a Circle Admin and Moderator?

There are two roles for people who manage Circles: Admins and Moderators. 

The table below outlines the roles and what they're able to do for the Circles they are the Admin or Moderator for:

I am the Admin of a Circle, how do I appoint a Moderator?
  1. Enter your Circle
  2. Tap on members and settings 
  3. Select the person you would like to make a moderator 
  4. Tap Make Moderator 

I am the Admin of a Circle, can I remove a Moderator?

  1. Enter your Circle
  2. Tap on members and settings 
  3. Select the person you would like to remove as a moderator 
  4. Tap Remove Moderator 

I am the Moderator of a Circle, can I delete a Circle?

No. Only Admins can delete Circles. 

I am the Moderator of a Circle, can I approve and reject a user’s requests to join the Circle?

Yes. A Moderator can approve or reject users who want to join Circles. 

I am the Moderator of a Circle, can I make Circle members Admins?

No. Only Admins can appoint users as Admins. 

I am the Moderator of a Circle, can I remove members from the Circle?

Yes. If you want to remove a member:

  1. Tap on the user from the feed or members list 
  2. Select Remove from Circle

Is there a Moderator limit in Circles? 

No. There is no limit. 

I am the Moderator of a Circle, can I remove an Admin from the Circle?

No. Only another Admin can remove a fellow Admin. 

I am the Moderator of a Circle, can I leave the Circle?

Yes. As a Moderator you can leave a Circle if you wish. 

I am the Moderator of a Circle, can I remove posts from the Circle?

Yes. Moderators can remove posts from Circles and comments on posts.
