Canceling via Apple (iOS)
To cancel a subscription purchased through Apple on your iPhone or iPad:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap your Apple ID at the top of the screen (your name and profile).
- Select Subscriptions.
- Find and tap Insight Timer.
- Tap Cancel Subscription.
- Select your reason for canceling (optional).
- Confirm your cancellation when prompted.
Your subscription ends at the conclusion of your current billing cycle. Premium access to meditations, mindfulness courses, sleep content, and other features remains active until then. You'll receive a confirmation email once your cancellation is processed.
Canceling via Google Play (Android)
To cancel a subscription purchased through Google Play on your Android device:
- Open the Google Play Store app.
- Tap your profile icon in the top-right corner.
- Select Payments & Subscriptions.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Select Insight Timer from your active subscriptions.
- Tap Cancel Subscription.
- Select your reason for canceling (optional).
- Follow the prompts to confirm your cancellation.
Your subscription ends at the end of your current billing period. Premium access remains active until the cycle closes.
Canceling via the Web
To cancel a subscription purchased through Insight Timer's website using a credit card:
- Visit the Insight Timer website and log into your account.
- Go to your Profile in the top-right corner.
- Select My Subscriptions.
- Find your active MemberPlus subscription.
- Click Cancel Subscription.
- Select your reason for canceling (optional).
- Confirm cancellation when prompted.
Your premium access ends at the close of your current billing cycle. You'll receive a confirmation email.
What Happens After Cancellation?
Once your billing cycle ends, you'll lose access to premium features, though your account and saved content remain:
- Premium meditation and mindfulness courses no longer available
- Ad-free listening reverts to ad-supported experience
- Offline downloads no longer available for new content
- Extended content library (300,000+ practices) reduced to free catalog
- Advanced features like custom playlists and offline playback restricted
Your free tier access and all saved content (favorites, bookmarks, listening history) remain available and unchanged.
Reactivating Your Subscription
You can reactivate MemberPlus at any time by returning to Subscriptions in your account settings or device settings. Your saved favorites, listening history, progress, and preferences are preserved—you'll resume exactly where you left off. Reactivation is quick and straightforward, taking just a few taps.
