Help, how do I create a Workplace Group?

Creating a Workplace is easy, first; verify your work email, see instructions here.


Once you've verified your work email, you can create Workplace Groups on the app and desktop:


Workplace via the Insight Timer app


  1. Navigate to the Connect page and click the + button in the top right of the Group tab.
  2. Select your Workplace domain.
  3. Fill out the details for your Workplace Group.
  4. Decide whether to keep your group ‘Open’ or ‘Closed’. 
  5. Add a short description about the Group, choose a cover image and write a friendly welcome message for your coworkers. Quick Tip: Your welcome message explains what your group is going to do and when you plan to meditate together. This is also where you can establish any Group ground rules.
  6. Invite your coworkers to join the Workplace Group.
  7. Select the sideways arrow in the right corner of the screen. You can ask your coworkers on Insight Timer to join the Group by tapping the Invite button, or you can share the Group link with coworkers who are not yet part of the Workplace on Insight Timer.


Note: 'Open' means anyone in your Workplace can join the Group. 'Closed' means that anyone who wants to join the Group must request access and then be granted access by the admin of the Group. 


Once you create a group, you’re automatically the Group admin.


Workplace Group via Desktop


  1. Log into Insight Timer on Desktop: web.insighttimer.com/circles
  2. Click the + button in the left sidebar. 
  3. Select your Workplace domain. 
  4. Fill out the details for your Workplace Group: Name your Workplace Group, 
  5. Decide whether to keep it 'Open' or 'Closed, and add a short description of what the Workplace group is about. Choose a cover image and write a friendly message to welcome your coworkers. Quick Tip: Your welcome message explains what your group is going to do and when you plan to meditate together. This is also where you can establish any Group ground rules.
  6. Invite your coworkers to join the Workplace Group
  7. Click the info icon in the right corner of the screen and select "Share this Group".


You can ask your coworkers on Insight Timer to join the Group by tapping the Invite button, or you can share the Group link with coworkers who are not yet part of the Workplace on Insight Timer.

When you create a Group, you're automatically the Group admin.
